OER Production Service
Central OER production service at the video studio of the Centre for Teaching and Learning at the University of Vienna
Would you like to provide your students with teaching content in the form of video or audio recordings and would you like some support in putting this into practice? If so, you can make use of the media production services offered by the Digital Teaching Team at the Centre for Teaching and Learning. The team will support you with the didactic design and production of your teaching materials.
A fundamental prerequisite for media production at the CTL is that the material be used in at least one course at the University of Vienna.
The following additional criteria also play a role:
- Sustainability: Sustainability refers to the repeated use of the material in a course over several semesters or in several courses within a single semester.
- Reach: How many students can be reached per semester or over the entire period of use? In larger courses, a correspondingly greater number of students benefit from the teaching materials.
- Licensing: The current focus is on the production of open educational resources. This means that at the CTL, we produce videos that are published under an open licence and made available not only on course Moodles but also on Phaidra under a suitable licence. Such teaching materials are known as Open Educational Resources, or OER for short. Does your planned video meet these requirements?
